Material Handler

Job Summary:

As a Materials Handler, you will distribute medical supplies to our inpatient nursing departments, ensuring medical supplies are available for nursing and physician use for direct patient care.

Primary Duties:

• Receives, inspects, unpacks, and verifies quantities received against packing slip or purchase order for items/supplies delivered.

• Counts manually, or with a portable, hand held computer, items on exchange carts or supply.

• Catalogs items and enters inventory.

• Breaks down boxes and discards boxes.

• Responsible for the receipt, distribution and disbursement of supplies and materials to designed nursing units.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.

• 3 years' direct relevant job experience may be substituted in lieu of Education requirement.
