We have an outstanding opportunity for a Laboratory Manager to join the Bartel lab at the Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research. David Bartel investigates the molecular pathways that regulate gene expression by affecting the stability or translation of mRNAs. Bartel and his team study microRNAs and other small RNAs that specify the destruction or translational repression of mRNAs. In addition, they study how mRNA introns, untranslated regions, and poly(A) tails recruit and mediate regulatory phenomena. As part of their work, the team develops new tools for high-throughput molecular measurements, which help to inform their computational analyses and in-depth mechanistic studies. More information about the lab and their work can be found by visiting https://bartellab.wi.mit.edu/ About the Laboratory Manager role: This is a critical role where you will serve as a trusted leader of day-to-day lab operations, a mentor to junior team members, the primary liaison between the lab and external parties, and a collaborative partner to the laboratory.
