Here is how theTrading & Scheduling Specialist AssociateI/II/III/IV role will impact our business:

This role is responsible for gathering pipeline, and interstate pipeline transportation-related activity, including nominations, capacity release, imbalance monitoring, accounting, and customer communication.Analysts must be able to communicate operational issues with external customers and internal departments to ensure pipeline systems are both physically and contractually balanced.Attention to detail and strong analytical skills are important aspects of the position.Analysts should be able to not only analyze data at the detail level but also understand the high-level implications, thereby being able to identify and resolve issues independently.

Operating in the ever-changing natural gas market and regulatory arena requires that EQT and its employees ensure both FERC and NAESB regulatory compliance by adhering to strategic plans, policies, and procedures. Various regulatory agencies and processes within EQT require time-sensitive transactions/activity; the analyst must be a self-starter and be able to work independently, understand job priorities, and manage processes within strict deadlines

TheTrading & Scheduling Specialist AssociateI/II/III/IV responsibilities include but are not limited to:



  • Begin to manage daily production fluctuations by tracking daily meter telemetry, daily capacity operational issues, and fluctuations in daily on-system requirements by adjusting daily nominations/trading positions accordingly.
  • Reconcile measurement information for responsible systems.
  • Assist with the Curtailment Planning Process and provide solutions for re-routes to maximize production flow.
  • Learn to review & understand pipeline operational postings, downstream requirements, production constraints, and industry-related developments to ensure the scheduling team is maximizing EQT assets.
  • Assist with commercial account management by interacting with customers concerning pipeline curtailments that impact our contractual obligations.
  • Begin to manage trading and production activity in Endur for closing purposes.
  • Communicate operational issues with external customers and internal departments to ensure pipeline systems are both physically and contractually balanced.
  • Assist accounting with invoice discrepancies resulting from potential pathing discrepancies in Endur
  • Analyze data where the objective is to identify problems and issues.
  • Analyze data where the objective is to supply information to others who will use it to develop recommendations and alternatives.
  • Responsible for designing new procedures, projects and strategies.
  • Management and optimization of company Interstate Pipeline Capacity.


Required Experience and Skills:



  • 1 to 8 years of related work experience (dependent on level) that demonstrates quantitative skills and an ability to perform a variety of financial and strategic analyses.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in the natural gas industry, especially as it relates to natural gas transportation, including associated Federal and state regulations.
  • Appalachian Basin scheduling/nominating expertise.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work with a diverse group and balance the needs of the group to meet business objectives.
  • Ability to grasp business concepts quickly and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Required travel: 0-10%


Preferred Experience and Skills:



  • Experience with Endur ETRM
  • Trading and/or Scheduling experience in the Northeast and Southeast Regions


Remote work is approved for this role, excluding the following states: Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee, Louisiana, New Jersey, and New York, unless willing to relocate.


Selected incumbent will be placed into the position that best suits their abilities and experience level.
