Our Nuclear Services Group is looking for Mechanical Engineers onsite at Crane Clean Energy Center (formerly TMI 1) in Middletown, PA. Responsibilities
A typical day in this role involves crafting innovative engineering solutions, reviewing key documents for quality and compliance, and collaborating with teams to ensure projects meet client goals. You'll engage with clients, drive progress across multiple disciplines, and stay at the forefront of industry standards to make a lasting impact.
Engineering Excellence & Precision: Deliver error-free, high-quality engineering documents in compliance with industry codes, standards, and regulations. Ensure all deliverables meet client, ENERCON, and regulatory requirements, adhering to strict QA protocols
- Continuous Knowledge & Technical Mastery: Stay current with industry codes, safety practices, and design techniques. Provide peer reviews and technical oversight to ensure best practices in engineering documentation
- Client Collaboration & Relationship Building: Cultivate strong client relationships through effective communication and top-tier engineering solutions. Tailor engineering products to meet client needs and expectations while maintaining high standards
- Cross-Disciplinary Coordination: Collaborate with multiple engineering disciplines to ensure designs are fully integrated and compliant with all requirements
- On-Site Engagement & Field Expertise: Conduct plant site visits, interface with client teams, and perform walk-downs to ensure accuracy in project implementation
- Project Oversight & Resource Management: Manage project timelines and resources, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and within budget while maintaining high quality
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
- Mid-Level 3 years of prior experience in nuclear or power generation design of mechanical systems
- Senior-Level 7 years of prior experience in nuclear or power generation design of mechanical systems
- Thermal-hydraulic and design modification experienced desired
- Demonstrated proficiency in preparation of mechanical calculations
- Proficient in Word and Excel
- Good writing, presentation and communication skills
- Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams
- Must be able to get badged at a nuclear facility
- Must be able to perform plant walkdowns
