As Global Training Manager you will develop and implement a comprehensive training program for the global sales and marketing community within the High Voltage (HV) Service business. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in competency development, talent management, and training within the electrical engineering or energy sector.

Your key responsibilities

  • Training Program Development: Develop a comprehensive and holistic training program for the global sales and marketing community of the HV Service business.
  • Competency Framework Development: Design and implement competency frameworks tailored to the needs of the services units. Regularly update and refine competency models to align with organizational goals.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs and develop comprehensive training programs. Organize workshops, seminars, and other training sessions to enhance employee skills. Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments.
  • Performance Management: Collaborate with managers to integrate competency assessments into performance reviews. Provide guidance on setting performance goals and expectations based on competencies.
  • Talent Management: Identify high-potential employees and create development plans to prepare them for future roles. Support succession planning by ensuring a pipeline of competent employees.
  • Master Trainer: Act as the master trainer and train-the-trainer; invite experts for deep dives as needed for different functions as defined by the master trainer; certify other trainers and participants.
  • Value-Based Selling Expertise: Be an expert in value-based selling and selling techniques.
  • Travel: High need for traveling to different units spread across all continents.

Your background

  • Educational Background:
    • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or related areas, complemented by education in Organizational Development, or a related field.
    • Certifications in competency management or related areas are a plus.
  • Experience:
    • Proven experience in competency development, talent management, or a similar role.
    • Experience in the electrical equipment industry is preferred.
    • Strong background in Sales and Marketing is a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS).
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
