Global manufacturer located in Sidney, OH seeking a Financial Analyst for a contract to hire role! Working onsite in Sidney, the Financial Analyst will interact across multiple functions to compile and analyze inputs for monthly and annual budgeting and other internal management reviews of financial results and forecasts. Primary areas of responsibility will include monthly close activities such as the analysis and preparation of necessary entries for accruals and adjustments, headcount reporting, and S G & A cost analysis. AS A FINANCIAL ANALYST YOU WILL: * Provide analysis and assist with the development of annual plans, monthly forecast updates, and other management reviews of financial results and forecasts * Perform analysis of SG&A expenditures and prepare required journal entries * Drill into details of various cost center charges to track actual spending * Participate in department and/or cross-functional projects and provide other ad-hoc analysis as needed * Interact with Corporate Finance team to ensure department financial planning is adequately prepared * Learn and support the Appropriation Request process REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS: * Associate' Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field + 3 years relevant experience * The candidate should possess knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. * Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including the use of linked spreadsheets, data downloads, complex formulas, and pivot tables. * Must have the ability to meet strict deadlines and balance multiple priorities. * Must have strong analytical and communication skills and be able to work independently. PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS: * Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance plus two (2) years of experience * Prior experience with Oracle applications and/or GL Wand is desired * Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Power Point) including advanced functions * Familiarity with data analytics tools (Domo, Power BI, Power Query) #LI-MB1 After you have applied, download our Staffmark Group WorkNOW App to receive real-time job offers and apply for additional opportunities.
