From your PASSION to ours

We are seeking a dedicated Process Project Engineer to join our team. This role requires expertise in PLC programming, hydraulics, sanitation systems, and loss management. The ideal candidate will spend approximately 90% of their time on the manufacturing floor, working directly with equipment and personnel to ensure optimal operation and compliance.

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Responsible for all aspects of food safety and quality as defined in plant and department procedures.
  • Design, implement, and maintain PLC-based control systems for hydraulic machinery, ensuring efficiency and reliability in manufacturing processes.
  • Develop and oversee sanitation control systems to comply with health and safety regulations and ensure product quality.
  • Analyze manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and implement loss management strategies to optimize resource use.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for control systems, including system specifications, operating procedures, and maintenance schedules.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify safety hazards and develop strategies for compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Train and support operational staff on control systems, sanitation procedures, and loss management practices.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in hydraulics and manufacturing controls.
  • Collaborate with the site engineers to help with and assess future engineering projects.
  • Work with the site to help organize and facilitate CAPEX projects prior to, during, and post installation of projects.

From your STORY to ours

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Automation, or related field) or Food Manufacturing/Processing, focusing on Dairy and Operations.
  • Proven experience in engineering, with a strong focus on PLC programming and hydraulic systems.
  • Knowledge of sanitation systems and regulatory compliance in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to quality standards, with the ability to monitor, assess, and ensure consistent product quality throughout the production process.
  • Experience in managing raw materials.
  • Familiarity with loss management techniques and process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Manufacturing).
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in managing project progress and coordinating on-site teams to ensure timely and successful execution.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey technical information to diverse teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SCADA systems and data acquisition related to manufacturing processes.
  • Relevant certifications in automation, hydraulics, or manufacturing processes (e.g., Certified Automation Professional, Six Sigma).
  • Understanding of safety standards and regulations in manufacturing environments.
