Staffmark has partnered with a leading piping systems manufacturer in Myrtle Beach, SC, to hire a Wastewater Operator. Join a fantastic team that values your ideas, appreciates your contributions, and supports your career growth!

Schedule: 7 AM - 3 PM, Monday to Friday

Annual Salary: $52,000 - $60,000

Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Physical/Chemical Wastewater "D" certification.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.


Responsibilities:



  • Ensure a safe working environment by prioritizing safety at all times.
  • Operate and maintain systems to meet high standards for uninterrupted performance.
  • Monitor and adjust wastewater pretreatment systems, ancillary equipment, and chemical compositions of influent, effluent, and internal process streams to stay within guidelines.
  • Respond to unexpected equipment or process failures.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on systems such as belt presses, blowers, pumps, valves, and piping, following manufacturer specifications.
  • Collect and analyze raw waste, conduct chemical and physical analyses, and maintain detailed knowledge of influent, effluent, and process streams. Perform stormwater sampling as needed.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the wastewater plant and ensure efficient, cost-effective operation of treatment equipment.
  • Complete maintenance records and operating logbooks, and manage tools, manuals, repair parts, and consumables.
  • Report the status of wastewater pretreatment equipment and systems to the HR Manager.
