Job Location: Atlantic Council Headquarters - Washington, DC Overview The Atlantic Council seeks a talented, dynamic, and entrepreneurial individual for a position as Assistant Director, Communications in its Adrienne Arsht Latin America Center (AALAC). The Assistant Director will form a key part of the team and will work closely with the Senior leadership of the team in an entrepreneurial atmosphere. This position requires cross-collaboration with colleagues in other regional and thematic centers across the Atlantic Council, in particular the position will involve close coordination with the broader Atlantic Council communications and digital team. Based in Washington DC, the ideal candidate is a passionate and entrepreneurial self-starter who will lead AALAC's communications and digital strategy and will advise and support Center portfolios in their comms efforts. As well, the Assistant Director will help conceptualize and implement the communications strategy and advance community outreach and engagement. This position will focus on ensuring that AALAC's reach includes critical Latin American and Caribbean policy stakeholders alongside consistently broadening our reach to a new community of global actors to highlight the increasing relevance of the region in a world context. The ideal candidate will further AALAC's brand, build relationships with journalists, position AALAC experts and our analysis in the media, and increase visibility for the Center's work overall. The ability to operationalize ideas and balance multiple tasks in a dynamic environment under time pressure is key to success in the job. This position is based in our Washington, DC, headquarters, requiring a minimum of 4 days per week in office. The Atlantic Council offers a competitive compensation package commensurate with experience, education, and organizational equity, with offers from $60,000 to $70,000. Job responsibilities
