Job Purpose

  • Lead and manage the Drawing Creation Process for North American Auto Design Operations. Works with Global Operations on Drawing Creation process innovations, reflections and process changes to improve new model development flows and activities both Globally and inside North America. Oversees the daily execution, process and system innovations, for 4 NA unique Drawing Creation Systems. (NA AHEAD System Owner, NA MP CRF Lead, and NA NEWS System Owner, K5 & K6).

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead NA Design Spec Control Operations: Lead NA Design Spec Operations in the review or creation of new operational rules and job flows for accuracy.
  • Drawing Creation Process: Manage the drawing creation process at NA ADC with coordination with Global Operations. Support NA ADC design sections in the drawing creation for Catia V5 or V6 drawings.
  • Associate Development: Set, discuss, and monitor associate performance goals that directly support business plan initiatives and KPI achievement. Provide necessary direction and support to achieve goals. Develop opportunities for team members to grow and support job rotation to strengthen Unit and Department skill / capabilities. Conduct performance reviews with direct reports and support feedback on performance reviews for all team members.
  • Business Plan: Lead development, implementation and execution of Business Plan themes to achieve Unit, Department or Company goals. Lead or Identify theme leaders for theme execute. Actively manage all themes identifying issues and develop resolutions to meet targets. Evaluate and provide support feedback on presentations for effective direct & simple communication to Dept, Div and BUL management teams.
  • Manpower, Scorecard, Budget: Forecast & Manage Manpower to support NA Design Spec Operations. Set & Manage KPI target/result. Conduct root cause analysis for KPI's not achieving target and improvement theme plans. Develop and manage budget needs for.
  • Drawing System Business Owner: Provides tactical and strategic direction for systems supporting the Drawing Creation process.

Workstyle

  • Hybrid:2 to 3 days per workweek in the Raymond, OH office

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • A Bachelor's Degree in business or engineering field
  • 10+ years of Development Drawing Creation experience with Part Drawing Control or Engineering Change.
  • 5 to 8+ years of leadership experience
  • Develop people and leaders, driving individual performance and building technical talent.
  • Identify and gather information to understand multidimensional problems to be solved
  • Recognize and demonstrate project management skills.
  • Recognize & demonstrate quantitative research knowledge (Process of collecting, analysing and qualifying data).
  • Recognize & demonstrate new model development flow knowledge.
  • Recognize & demonstrate Cost-benefit analysis knowledge.
  • Lead the Complex problems Analysis, determine root causes, recommend corrective action.
  • Value Stream Mapping.
