Responsibilities

Sabre Systems is currently hiring an experienced Software Configuration Manager to join our AIRWorks team supporting the MQ-25 Unmanned Carrier Aviation Mission Control Station (UCMS). This position offers the flexibility of a hybrid work environment, with duties performed at Patuxent River Naval Air Station and AIRWorks facilities in Lexington Park, MD. The selected candidate will work with project functional teams to integrate their input into system build baseline. They will effectively manage release communications with internal and external stakeholders. The selected candidate will manage, build, configure, administer, operate, and maintain all components that comprise the DevOps environment in the cloud and facilitate post deployment validation process and monitor releases to ensure successful implementation of releases. In addition the selected candidate will ensure software configuration management compliance to vendor SDP and NAVAIR Software Engineering department SWPs. In addition the selected candidate will perform the following duties:

  • Collaborating with and gathering input from management and vendors to implement process enhancements and improvements
  • Monitor QA testing progress to ensure releases meet documented quality standards
  • Proactively manage changes in all software documents and versions
  • Coordination and planning to help define and implement Release Management process and artifacts
  • Coordinate with suppliers to track changes across different software items to ensure all changes are known and documented
  • Create configuration software baselines for products
  • Maintain required data in an organized manner that is readily accessible to authorized personnel
  • Support Change Control Board (CCB), Release Readiness meetings, as described in the Configuration Management Plan
  • Provide coordination and guidance for release related questions and issues
  • Act as lesion between multiple stakeholders of the releases
  • Management experience determining readiness of products for release
  • Manage Release Deployments

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Systems Administration, or Information Systems Management
  • Six (6) years' experience managing multiple SCM teams, working on multiple platforms
  • Must have experience using JIRA, DOORS, Confluence, and other CM related tools
  • Experience in requirements gathering, scope definition and environment provisioning in a fast paced, evolving environment
  • Tracking of information products such as Documents, Specifications, Standards, Software, and Data
  • Experience with tracking of software deficiencies and Inventory of Equipment
  • Developing documentation/release reports/version description documents detailing corrected as well as outstanding software deficiencies
  • Preparing and tracking media shipments ensuring proper classification markings in accordance with standard DoD guidance and best practices
  • Managing unclassified and classified inventory of project hardware and software, including general reporting and regular audits
  • Experience using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
  • Candidates will be required to pass a background check for this position
  • Must be a US Citizen
