The Director of Student Affairs Policy, Standards, and Conduct is responsible for the upholding the UC San Diego Conduct Code and UC San Diego Student Conduct Standards and related policies and regulations. This position has the authority and responsibility of strategizing, developing and implementing precedent-setting changes to policies, procedures, regulations, and programs that directly impact student life. The Director oversees the day-to-day operations of the Office of Student Conduct and manages risk for the campus and performs work that is extremely complex, confidential, and layered. Additionally, the incumbent provides oversight of the restorative justice program, in support of the VC Student Affairs divisional strategic plan, to provide alternative options for conflict resolution through the student conduct process and for departments, units, and student groups. The incumbent advises the Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs (VCSA) on all student conduct-related policy matters, staying abreast of system wide policy issues, national trends, Federal, State, local laws, and regulations regarding conduct and educating the UC San Diego community on emergent policy issues. In addition, the Director is responsible for development and assessment of strategic plans, learning outcomes, and goals for the Office of Student Conduct and university-wide student conduct process while playing a key role in the development of divisional strategic goals and learning outcomes. Develops annual budget priorities and conducts short- and long-range resource for program planning. This position has delegated authority from the VCSA in management of all related Student Conduct matters for the campus. QUALIFICATIONS
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $85,400 - $156,800 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $40.90 - $75.10 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
