The Quality Engineer is a key contributor to advancing our Quality Management System (QMS), bringing expertise in quality management and manufacturing processes to drive continuous improvements. This role focuses on developing and implementing quality assurance processes that proactively prevent issues and ensure our products meet the highest standards-delivered on time and within budget. As a subject matter expert, the Quality Engineer confidently navigates complex situations, making impactful decisions and setting a standard for quality practices. This position also plays an essential role in promoting a culture of excellence by mentoring team members, fostering effective cross-departmental communication, and leading continuous improvement efforts across the organization. Duties & Responsibilities
QUALITY SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT & IMPROVEMENT: * Independently develop and implement quality procedures and plans that meet and exceed customer requirements. QUALITY ANALYSIS & CORRECTIVE ACTIONS: * Conduct in-depth investigations of quality failures, identify root causes, and establish corrective and preventive actions. LEADERSHIP & TRAINING: * Educate and mentor employees on QMS requirements, processes, and best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. CUSTOMER & SUPPLIER COLLABORATION: * Collaborate with suppliers, supply chain, and program management to manage supplier performance and ensure customer satisfaction. PERFORMANCE MONITORING & IMPROVEMENT: * Develop inspection and test plans, conduct compliance audits, and resolve identified findings and risks independently. CHANGE MANAGEMENT & QUALITY CULTURE DEVELOPMENT: * Serve as a change agent by applying Quality Assurance methods to cultivate a strong quality culture within the organization. Qualifications
REQUIRED * Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field (relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree). PREFERRED * Certifications and applied experience in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. SECURITY CLEARANCE: * Must have a Secret Security Clearance issued by the U.S. Department of Defense.
