The Team:

Mattel Canada's Demand Planning Team ensures the right toys are in our warehouse at the right time - minimizing stockouts, reducing excess inventory, and aligning supply with revenue goals. The team works closely with Sales, Marketing, and Manufacturing to develop monthly, SKU-level demand plans that incorporate promotions, market trends, and production capacity to support seamless execution and growth.

The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Manager, Supply Chain Planning, the Senior Demand Planner is a key member of Mattel Canada's Demand Planning team in Mississauga. This role develops a rolling 12-month, SKU-level demand plan for assigned brands, integrating insights from Commercial, Marketing, and Manufacturing to align forecasts with business priorities and revenue goals. The planner continuously refines accuracy through the S&OP process, monitoring performance and minimizing variance and bias.

What Your Impact Will Be:

  • Own the demand planning process for key categories, delivering accurate SKU-level forecasts.
  • Align inputs from Sales, Marketing, and Finance to build data-driven demand plans.
  • Lead monthly consensus and S&OP reviews, adjusting forecasts and identifying risks.
  • Improve forecast accuracy and fill rates through KPI tracking and analysis.
  • Partner with Replenishment Planning to enhance fulfillment and inventory productivity.
  • Drive process improvements using global tools, analytics, and reporting standards.
  • Collaborate across teams to resolve constraints and support global planning initiatives.
  • Meet or exceed KPI targets for demand variance and bias.


What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, or Supply Chain (MBA a plus).
  • 5-7years in Demand Planning or Forecasting.
  • Experience with Anaplan, Blue Yonder, SAP, Tableau, or Cognos preferred.
  • Knowledge of S&OP/IBP and inventory management processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and time management abilities.
  • Results-driven with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Demonstrated agrowth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves.
