Description: Responsibilities: This position is responsible for installing, programming and commissioning fire alarm systems systems Ensure that all systems and components are maintained according to industry standards and the operational requirements of the customer Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Install fire alarm systems or appropriate devices, dismantle and/or reconstruct equipment as required by customer or the Company Conduct testing and inspection of systems under maintenance agreement Respond to and complete system troubleshooting and repairs Make connections and required adjustments as directed, test operation of all components of each system Conduct site surveys upon request of management Keep manuals and all details up to date as changes are advised Report on activities completed, deferred, or requiring further action or material to management Communicate with customers on job status or completion (installation or service) Write service and status reports Submit complete and accurate paperwork in a timely manner Obtain proper signatures Accurately record travel and service times, timesheets, identify warranties, changes and code issues and provide accurate descriptions Ability to work independently on customer sites Perform other duties assigned by management Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy Skills: Install, Fire alarm, programming, nicet, Alarm installation, Cabling, Alarms, Troubleshooting, Honeywell, notifier Top Skills Details: Install, Fire alarm, programming, nicet Additional Skills & Qualifications: Qualifications High School Degree, Vocational School or equivalent is required 5+ years of experience in the fire alarm or low voltage communication industry installing field devices, programming systems and managing small jobs Possess or has the ability to obtain proper state licensing once hired (Low Voltage D license, Alarm Installer Lic. etc.) Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast based environment with minimum direction Good communication skills for effective interaction with internal & external customers Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude Ability to be on-call on a rotational basis Must be detail-oriented and organized Must possess a valid Driver's License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), a minimum level of insurance as required by Company policy, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle required Ability to complete time entry from home on a daily basis via the Internet Ability to deliver product familiarization training to end-users Experience Level: Expert Level * Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
