Finance Intern (Treasury) - Summer 2025

OUC - The Reliable One, an industry leader and the second-largest municipal utility in Florida, is offering an internship program in the Treasury Services division.

We are looking for a Finance Intern (Treasury) - Summer 2025. During the internship, you will be involved in:

• Assisting with daily Accounts Payable and Payments functions
• Supporting department with specific project needs (escheatment project, returned check project)
• Applying diversified knowledge in academic discipline principles to a variety of assignments

Internship Eligibility:

• Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university in a degree seeking program.
  Academic status of Junior
• Program of study: Accounting, Finance, or Business - must have taken Intro to Financial Accounting, Intro to Managerial Accounting, and Finance prior to start of the internship
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Ability to commit to a full-time schedule between May 19, 2025 through August 15, 2025

The Ideal Candidate will have:

• Taken Intro to Financial Accounting, Intro to Managerial Accounting, and Finance by the start of the internship
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good work ethic and attention to detail
• Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel

• Prior experience in working a finance/accounting department/industry
• Ability to proofread and research manuals and processes
• Analytical thinking skills
• Ability to take initiative and ask questions
• Ability to communicate in a professional and clear manner

Treasury is divided into 4 different functions, Accounts Payables, Payments, Business Expenses and Payroll. Intern will learn daily tasks for Accounts Payables, Payments and Business Expenses. This experience provides a well-rounded understanding of the finance/accounting cycle from a business perspective.

Compensation: $17 per hour, varies depending the education level

Schedule: Full-Time (up to 40 hours per week) - On-site
