Maersk Warehousing and Distribution USA LLC handles end-to-end warehousing and distribution logistics needs utilizing our strategic network of storage facilities. Our facilities are capable of receiving, storing, processing and dispatching cargo, so we can build flexibility and resilience into the supply chain process.Our integrated solutions allow us to be prepared for supply chain risks, so we can plan distribution to better achieve lead time and goals despite unexpected conditions. Summary:

The primary role of the Operations Lead is to ensure seamless movement of cargo, from arrival to devanning, to delivery of freight. The lead is the deputy to the operations manager, and will often share the same leadership duties - including escalations, issue resolution, and strategic initiatives. All are managed within the core values of Maersk.

Responsibilities:

  • Support strategic LCL goals in accordance with the growth strategy
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Operations Partners
  • Be the 1st point of escalation for Operational matters
  • Ensure the team does timely clearing of cargo, either MLCs or coloads
  • Ensure the team does timely devanning and deliveries
  • Ensure the team does quality operations throughout the network / Operational Excellence

Qualifications:

  • Ability to focus on strategy and leading with a lean philosophy
  • Experience in leading teams in high-pressure environments
  • Entrepreneurial type mentality / Avid problem solver and coach
  • 5+ Years in the logistics/freight forwarding industry
  • Proven experience in operational leadership
  • Domestic Travel is expected once every 2 months

Pay Range:

  • $62,000-$70,000*

*The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
