Positions in this function are responsible for investigating, recovering and resolving all types of claims as well as recovery and resolution for health plans, commercial customers and government entities. May include initiating telephone calls to members, providers and other insurance companies to gather coordination of benefits data. Investigate and pursue recoveries and payables on subrogation claims and file management. Process recovery on claims. Ensure adherence to state and federal compliance policies, reimbursement policies and contract compliance. May conduct contestable investigations to review medical history. May monitor large claims including transplant cases.

This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm at our office location at 2720 N Tenaya Way Las Vegas. NV. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

We offer weeks of on-the-job training. The hours during training will be 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday - Friday.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Depends on others for guidance.
  • Work is typically reviewed by others.
  • Process incoming mail including logging checks and assigning work on a daily basis to the Representatives based on incoming mail.
  • Send out to questionnaires to members or providers as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • 1+ years of office experience having utilized a telephone and computer as primary work instruments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word (create / edit documents), Microsoft Excel (create / edit spreadsheets), and Microsoft Outlook (email / calendar)
  • Must be 18 years OR older
  • Ability to work full-time, Monday - Friday between 8:00am - 5:00pm PST at our office location at 2720 N Tenaya Way, Las Vegas, NV, including the flexibility to work occasional overtime given the business need



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience with databases and database searches



Nevada, Residents Only: The hourly range for this role is $16.00 to $23.94 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
