THE POSITION

The Department of Human Services, Clarks Summit State Hospital is seeking a reliable and motivated Utility Plant Helper. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Utility Plant Helper, you will work in a boiler plant assisting operations and completing routine maintenance. You will lubricate, adjust, and repair boilers. You will also clean boilers and plant areas. This position requires the ability to complete assigned work within established timeframes while adhering to instructions and safety standards. In addition, you will maintain simple records, assist with seasonal grounds work, and help with other on-site trades as needed.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 40 hours per week.
  • Work hours will be determined. You will work 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM or 3:00 PM to 11:00PM with rotating weekends and holidays. Training shift will be 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
  • Overtime and travel as needed.

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
