Monitor Tech - Cardiac Monitoring

The Monitor Technician observes the cardiac rhythm of patients in the assigned unit, assesses patients status and reports the patients cardiac rhythm to medical/nursing staff. This position requires population specific competencies.

• Prefer medical or monitor tech experience
• Central Monitoring Unit: Requires validation of competency by scoring a minimum of 90% on the Basic Dysrhythmia test
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English For current Deaconess incumbent(s) only at the time of acquisition (10/1/2018)

For Deaconess Only:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prefer medical or monitor tech experience
• Central Monitoring Unit: Requires validation of competency by scoring a minimum of 90% on the Basic Dysrhythmia test
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English
