Job Title: Inventory Specialist

Schedule: Monday-Friday from 7:00am-3:00pm

Location: Sussex, WI

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

The Materials Management Associate will report to the inventory supervisor and support the logistics and plant leaders related to material availability and inventory accuracy. The associate will be responsible for physical and systematic movement of all goods in storage locations and assembly lines. They will have accountability for all transactions, inventory counts, discrepancy investigations and corrections. They will have high resiliency and attention to detail while maintaining accuracy of inventoried goods. This position will work with various departments to drive inventory availability and accuracy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Multi-task several day to day duties as assigned.
  • Picks spare parts orders and provides daily updates to service order entry
  • Maintains and updates records in the ERP System
  • Perform cycle counts of materials, equipment, merchandise, or supplies in stock.
  • Investigates, recommend corrections, provide information, and carry out any necessary adjustments.
  • Reports discrepancies between physical counts and computer records.
  • Participates in and supports yearly physical inventory.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized while following guidelines.
  • Coordinates the scrap of material storage as needed in work area assigned, must be able to move scrap into open top dumpster and compactor.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned subject to reasonable accommodations.

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondences.
  • Ability to look up information, interpret assembly drawings, and specifications.
  • Ability to use complex technical information to correctly identify materials
  • Proficient in MS office, SAP experience preferred
  • Is high-energy, resilient, self-motivated team player with the ability to multi-task.
  • Is experienced with material flow through a manufacturing facility
  • Is able to keep work areas clean following guidelines.
  • Meets productivity standards; Completes work in timely manner.
  • Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time.



EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE



  • High School diploma, or GED equivalent required; associates degree in business preferred
  • 1-3 years related experience in a technically oriented position, or equivalent combination of education and experience.


  • Shipping and Receiving experience preferred.
  • Must be forklift trained and certified.
  • Experience with Inventory Control/Warehouse Management Software preferred.
  • 1+ years of related experience with cycle counting program administration
  • 1+ years of related experience in inventory control
  • Basic mathematic functions required.
