Food Service Assistant Lead

Position Highlights:

• Position: Food Service Assistant Lead
• Location: Elmhurst Hospital
• Full Time | 40 hours/week
• Hours: Monday - Friday between 5am - 7:30pm with rotating holidays

What you will need:

• High School or GED
• A minimum of two years of previous food service experience in a healthcare environment
• State of Illinois ANSI Accredited Food Handlers Certificate within 30 days of start date of position for employees working on their Food Service Sanitation Manager Certificate
• State of Illinois Food Service Sanitation Manager Certificate required within three (3) months of hire

Position Summary:

This position is part of the team that insures safe and fresh delivery of foods and services to patients as well as customers in a timely and professional manner. Functioning in a lead capacity, with direct responsibility for the workload and workflow of the team. Responsible for assembling and serving meal trays to patients in an efficient and timely manner. Retrieving soiled trays and recording patient intake.
