YOU'LL GET TO: Investigate sites and collect data Design stream restorations Design dam projects and perform safety inspections Analyze sediment transport Investigate water resources Perform hydrology and hydraulics (H&H) and flood modelling Design stormwater management Apply resilience principals Process wetland and waterway permits Assess and restore watersheds Prepare and manage grant applications Mentor junior staff and network with clients YOU TELL US...What water resource concern do you want to solve? REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related degree. Professional Engineer (PE) registration Engineers preferred. Will also considered allied professional (Environmental Science, Biology, Geomorphology, Hydrology, Landscape Architecture, Ecology, equivalent work experience, etc.) Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE WANT: 5 to 10 years of experience Project management skills in water resource design from concept through construction including preparing proposals, invoicing, project milestones, and achieving deadlines Competence in client relationship and meeting facilitation Team leading directing and mentoring junior staff Stream and wetland restoration, dam design and the permitting and approval process Conditional Letter of Map Revision (CLOMR), Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) Experience in preparing and processing designs and permits using PennDOT and/ or Philadelphia Water Department (PWD) standards Proficiency in use of software for hydrology, hydraulics (HEC-RAS 1D & 2D, HydroCad), SWMM, drafting (Civil 3D, Carlson, MicroStation) Strong writing and verbal communication skills Professional Engineer (P.E.). Will also considered certified allied professional with stormwater and/or stream design experience.
