Description

LinQuest is seeking a Part-Time, Remote, Sr. Systems Engineer to support of a government organization essential to U.S. national security. This position requires the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Under broad direction, provides expert support, analysis and research into especially complex problems, and processes relating to the subject matter.
  • Serves as technical expert on high-level project teams providing technical direction, interpretation and alternatives.
  • Thinks independently and demonstrates superior written and oral communications skills.
  • Possesses a complete understanding and wide experience in the application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field.
  • Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
  • Provide solutions that are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organizational objectives.
  • Works under only general direction.
  • Independently determines and develops approach to solutions.
  • Contributes to the completion of specific programs and projects.



Requires Skills & Experience:



  • 10+ years hands-on systems engineering experience.
  • SATCOM experience.
  • Bachelor's STEM degree from an accredited institution.
  • Experience writing system engineering documentation.
  • Experience managing System Engineering program artifacts.
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
  • US Citizenship.


Preferred Skills & Experience:



  • Knowledge of SATCOM modems.
  • Knowledge of SATCOM Teleports.
  • Knowledge of Proliferated LEO SATCOM.
  • INCOSE certification.
  • CISSP certification.
  • Experience with Model Based System Engineering.


Compensation: Starting salary ranges from $120,000 to $150,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
