Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Civil Revit/CADD Designer to join our dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, managing, and updating Revit models for various civil engineering projects. This role involves close collaboration with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of projects from conception through construction. YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WILL INCLUDE: Revit Model Creation and Management:
- Develop and maintain detailed Revit models for civil engineering projects,
including infrastructure, and site development. - Ensure models are up-to-date and accurate, reflecting the latest design
changes and specifications. - Create Revit Families to facilitate accurate representations of project
equipment and materials.
CADD Drafting and Design:
- Produce detailed drawings and contract documents with relevant software,
including plans, sections, and elevations. - Prepare and review construction documents to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
Collaboration and Coordination:
- Work closely with project engineers, architects, and other designers to
integrate civil components. - Participate in project meetings to discuss design progress, address issues, and
propose solutions.
Quality Control:
- Conduct quality checks on Revit models and drawings to ensure accuracy
and consistency. - Implement and follow BIM standards and protocols to maintain model
integrity.
Technical Support:
- Provide technical support and training to team members on Revit and BIM software.
- Troubleshoot Revit-related issues and offer solutions to optimize workflow.
WHAT YOU NEED: Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or Vocational certificate and college level CADD classes, or 10+ years of experience in a related civil engineering field.
- Must have at least 8+ years of experience in modeling, drafting, and design.
- Experience using AutoCAD and Revit software is required.
- Minimum of 5-years of experience working with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit in a civil engineering or related environment is favored.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant BIM software.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and practices.
- Familiarity with industry standards and codes related to civil design and construction.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining quality.
Working Conditions:
- This position may require occasional travel to project sites.
- The role is primarily office-based but may involve site visits for coordination and verification purposes.
