Instructs assigned courses according to course plan and participates in team-level, faculty curriculum and ad-hoc meetings.

Responsibilities:



  • Maintains a positive, supportive learning environment in the classroom
  • Provides regular, timely and responsive communications to students using various communication methods
  • Evaluates each student's achievement and progress; recommends strategies for success and tutors students to assist them in meeting course objectives
  • Advises students on course or program issues
  • Instructs assigned course(s) according to the course plan
  • Reviews class syllabus that follows the designed curriculum plan and explains course requirements
  • Designs and implements teaching strategies that will assist the student in meeting course objectives
  • Monitors student attendance and performance Recommends changes in courses to improve course effectiveness
  • Records students' attendance and grades in CAMS
  • Maintains student resources associated with assigned course in CAMS
  • Participates in team-level, faculty curriculum and ad-hoc meetings
  • Acts an ambassador of the College at all times when interacting with colleagues, staff, and students
  • Participates in evaluative studies related to program improvement


Position Requirements:



  • Master's degree in related field from an accredited college recognized by the Department of Education
  • One year college level online and/or classroom instruction
  • Five years college level online and/or classroom instruction
  • Ability to identify and resolve complex issues
  • Ability to set priorities and organize tasks
  • Ability to coordinate student assignments
  • Ability to coordinate projects independently
  • Ability to exercise and initiate sound judgment
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks concurrently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to analyze, evaluate and summarize information and report findings
  • Ability to respond to and resolve sensitive issues and/or escalate to appropriate individual
  • Ability to interact with a variety of individuals at various organizational levels
  • Ability to supervise students and provide direction
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to learn and use new software as necessary
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office
  • Ability to use a web-based learning management system (LMS)
  • Ability to educate students and to demonstrate applications using various methods
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve or recommend solutions to moderately complex problems
