We are seeking aResearch Program Coordinator (RPC) who will assist investigators in conducting clinical research in people living with HIV in the Baltimore area. RPC will work with the Core Manager to identify the appropriate domestic clinical resources for studies that are being submitted for developmental grants and projects that receive a developmental award. RPC will primarily be assigned to one or two studies but will also assist in short-term recruitment (< 6 months) and intermittent recruitment for other studies conducted by junior faculty. The role would include identifying potential patients for the study, confirming that patients meet eligibility for that study, and getting informed consent from the patient. For some studies the research program coordinator would also assist in the collection of data by phone or in-person interviews and medical record review. The RPC will also assist in maintaining an HIV clinic environment conducive for clinical studies recruitment, including informing patients and clinicians of the availability of clinical studies and facilitating patient linkage into studies.
