We Require
One year of experience in clinical precepting/training or health care delivery in a correctional setting Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of Nursing A valid, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse issued by the Arizona State Board of Nursing (or issued by another state recognized by the Arizona Board of Nursing as a multi-compact license state) nursing license

Job Contributions
- Provides competency-based training and testing to all clinical and mental health staff in a classroom and clinical setting
- Provides education, professional development, and preceptorship to CHS staff including, but not limited to, National Commission on Correctional Health Care Standards, CHS Policies and Standard Operating Procedures, and the electronic health record
- Monitors nursing students and educators during clinical rotation
- Provides education and support to clinical nurse preceptors and new health team members
- Assesses and communicates training needs based on quality indicators, staff, and leaders' input
- Develops and maintains effective training materials, assessments, and lesson plans with measurable objectives
- Researches, reviews, and implements evidence-based practices into curriculums, training, and skills competency evaluations.
- Serves as an educational resource and contributes to continuous process improvement initiatives
- Supports patient care and SOP compliance with regularly scheduled clinic rotations in collaboration with the Nurse Manager(s)
- Participates annually in Professional Clinical Training to keep abreast of best practices in nursing skills and patient care
- Demonstrates effective instructional practice and supports the professional development of other educators on the team
Working Conditions
Most work is performed in a clinical environment, indoors, in a confined area Travel and assigned to various clinical locations is required within a 5-mile radius Working extended hours and overtime may be required The role includes transporting medical equipment, climbing stairs, and lifting simulated patients Must successfully complete an MCSO-HR fingerprint/background check Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification and Trainer certification or ability to become certified during orientation training and maintain certification throughout employment Obtain Certified Correctional Health Professional (CCHP) certification within one year of employment
