Ultrasound Technologist

Scope of Position

Ultrasound is responsible for clinical procedures through the utilization of sound waves. Records images of internal organs and identifies various issues related to organs and soft tissue.

Position Summary

The Ultrasound Technologist performs sonographic exams and procedures for the diagnosis/treatment of disease or injury. In addition, the position provides patient education and performs quality assessment activities for the division, under the direction of the Imaging Manager.

Minimum Qualifications

For Hire: ARDMS or ARRT (Sonography) registry required. Previous ultrasound experience is preferred.

Ongoing: Maintains registry amp; licensing status; meets mandatory education and health surveillance requirements. Demonstrates competence in technical, interpersonal, and cognitive skills required to meet essential job functions.
