Join us as a Senior Machine Builder in Ogden, UT as we work together to bring innovative automation solutions to life.

Location Type: This role is onsite located at our facility in Ogden, UT.

As a Senior Machine Builder, you will be an integral part of a project team, collaborating closely with our Applications, Controls, and Mechanical Engineering teams. Your role will involve designing, constructing, programming, and deploying custom automated equipment and solutions for a diverse array of applications, processes, and industries, surpassing conventional expectations.

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Assembly of equipment per mechanical drawings or digital models.

  • Participate in all levels of design, build, start-up/debug, installation.

  • Ensure that changes and problems get documented and communicated.

  • Carry out assigned tasks with minimum direct supervision.

  • Execute ISO/Quality standards.

  • Communicate with the Machine Build Lead on open issues and progress during the build process.

  • Successful execution of assigned programs as they relate to cost, quality, timing and customer satisfaction.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work area.

  • Assist lead builder in maintaining and coordinating project task lists, machine safety, machine quality, and driving project to completion within the timeline.

  • Effectively and safely operate shop equipment including mill, lathe, drill press, surface grinder, saws, shears and presses.

What You'll Bring:

  • High school diploma, or equivalent certification.

  • Related vocational education preferred.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Proficient in reading part and assembly drawings.

  • Proven mechanical aptitude with a focus on safety and quality.

  • Proven ability to accept direction and complete tasks as assigned while working as part of a team or individually.

  • Ability to maintain a steady pace while bending, kneeling, climbing ladders and climbing onto and beneath machines.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as required.

  • Ability to obtain a Forklift, Aerial Platform and Overhead Crane license, along with Lock Out Tag Out training.

  • Ability to provide own hand tools and toolbox suitable for the job (a list of those recommended will be provided).

  • Travel at least 20% of the time may be required, may include domestic and international travel depending on the project.
