This candidate in this role will be responsible for performing a variety of complicated functions to test and rework a variety of units in all fabrication areas. In addition, the successful candidate will handle prototype unit assembly, working closely with engineers to produce workable methods.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform intricate assembly operations involving unique and/or difficult assembly methods. Assist lower graded assemblers with problem units.
  • Test rejected units and rework units as possible to provide operational components for shipment.
  • Investigate problem areas and recommend new methods to correct situation.
  • Perform special testing for engineering evaluations.
  • Train other production personnel in methods necessary to produce various units.
  • Work closely with engineering personnel on prototype units to ascertain assembly procedures.
  • Perform any duties assigned by supervisor.

Required Skills:

  • Should be able to solve a variety of mathematical questions.
  • Must be capable of using a variety of test equipment and other tools used in complicated rework operations.
  • Good visual capability and attention to detail.
  • Work from moderately difficult charts and operation sheets.
  • Job entails working with small parts/components, must have excellent hand-eye coordination and good manual dexterity in both hands
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to read and interpret operation sheets
  • Must be able to work quickly and with accuracy
  • Must be able to work from blueprints, operation sheets, sketches and oral or written instructions
  • Must pass annual eye exam which requires 20/20 vision with corrective lenses

Required Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of assembly or manufacturing experience preferred
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US, visa sponsorship not available.
