Combine your technical expertise and creativity in a highly collaborative environment! The R&D Product Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the GP PRO category by providing expert knowledge of our soap and sanitizer formulations. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and marketing mindset to effectively communicate the benefits and features of our products to both internal stakeholders and external customers. Working closely with our category, innovation, and marketing teams, you will play a strategic role in enhancing the messaging around our current products and shaping the products of the future. Our Team The Georgia-Pacific PRO product development team drives the technical advancement of our tissue, towel, napkin, wipers, and skincare brands in the away-from-home market. As a team of dedicated entrepreneurs, we're committed to ongoing innovation and cross-functional collaboration to solve complex problems and deliver meaningful value to our customers and the company. This position is located at the Neenah Technical Center (NTC), the central site for research, development, and lab services for Georgia-Pacific's North American Consumer Products business. What You Will Do * Product Expertise:Develop a deep understanding of our soap and sanitizer formulations, including their ingredients, benefits, and applications. Stay updated on industry regulations and standards as well as certifications. * Claims and Demos: Use knowledge of market trends, customer needs, and competitive products to generate new concepts and bring them to life through creative demos and data-driven claims. * Innovation: Collaborate within and outside of R&D to identify and drive innovative opportunities in product development, leveraging consumer insights and emerging trends to create cutting-edge soap and sanitizer product systems which includes both devices and refills. * Content Creation:Work alongside the category and marketing teams to develop engaging presentations and technically-focused marketing materials, while also creating product datasheets, technical guides, and case studies that showcase our products' unique features. * Collaboration:Work closely with the category, consumer insights, innovation, sales, and marketing teams to ensure alignment on product messaging and strategy. * Training & Support:Develop and provide technical training and support to the sales team to ensure a thorough understanding of product capabilities and usage. * Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee data entry and maintain detailed records of product specifications, changes, and updates. Ensure accurate documentation throughout the product lifecycle. Collaborate with contract manufacturers on product changes and production needs. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) * Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. * Deep technical expertise in formulated products. * Familiarity with regulated products. * Proven experience creating technical claims. * Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical information into compelling content for a range of audiences. What Will Put You Ahead * Advanced degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field. * Experience in clinical research and claims. * Experience with FDA regulated products. * Strong understanding of certifications in the personal care and/or hygiene industry. * Experience working with consumer products in the B2B space. * Experience with product systems that include both a device and refill component.
