Georgia-Pacific Consumer Products Operation is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our Muskogee, Oklahoma team as a Process Improvement Engineer role supporting the Consumer Products Group Operations located in Muskogee, OK. In this role, as a part of our Mill Process Improvement Team, you will have the opportunity to analyze operational processes, identify and lead overall improvement strategies. Our Process Improvement Engineer at Georgia-Pacific typically focuses on enhancing manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality. You will work closely with Mill area resources as well as ensure alignment with mill priorities. What You Will Do * Embrace influential leadership to support the organization while advancing our Principle-Based Management (PBM) culture * Be an active member of the Mill Process Improvement Team identifying, developing, communicating, and executing strategies to optimize operational efficiency, product quality, and cost-competitiveness * Collaborate with mill and/or corporate resources to ensure initiatives are aligned with mill priorities, goals, and objectives * Analyze data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for process improvement, waste reduction, competitive cost opportunities and energy efficiency * Implement, monitor, and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) with the Leadership and manufacturing teams * Facilitate and lead cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, and quality assurance to identify and resolve process-related issues. * Support the financial aspects of manufacturing processes, including budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis * Periodically serve as "Operations Support on call" on a rotating schedule to provide support to operations outside of regular business hours * Build tools to support and simplify the mill performance tracking, monitoring, and reporting * Build and develop your knowledge of operations, maintenance, or support roles with increased responsibilities, with the expectation to advance to one of these roles within 2- 3 years Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) * Capability to lead and facilitate improvements in a manufacturing environment * Capability to drive change, implement process improvements, and achieve measurable results * Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Experience with Microsoft tools, specifically advanced Excel skills What Will Put You Ahead * Bachelor's degree in engineering * Experience in process improvement and project management within a manufacturing environment * Experience in leading a process improvement effort * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Knowledge of process improvement strategies and methodologies coupled with experience utilizing advanced statistical methods * Experience working in chemical engineering, pulp/paper engineering or industrial engineering At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
