Great Hill is seeking a Data Architectto support our Department of Defense (DoD) client at Camp Smith in Halawa, HI. The objective of this work is to support the development, evaluation, and DoD-level testing of theater sustainment tactics, techniques, and procedures enabling Combatant Commands to visualize, understand, direct, and synchronize theater sustainment efforts.

The ideal candidate will serve as the data expert, performing a range of critical tasks, including collaborating with stakeholders to identify data requirements, managing large datasets, analyzing test data, and presenting actionable insights. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a tangible impact on DoD operations.

Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



  • Collect, manage, store, retrieve, and manipulate data to support project objectives.
  • Oversee the collection and storage of test event data to ensure secure and efficient handling.
  • Provide training to data collectors, ensuring adherence to established protocols and procedures.
  • Conduct data verification tests to identify and resolve discrepancies or anomalies.
  • Detect and address missing data and other inconsistencies to maintain data integrity.
  • Sort, consolidate, and reduce datasets to focus on relevant information for analysis.
  • Perform statistical tests and calculate measures to evaluate test data.
  • Conduct trial reconstructions and analyze data from test events.
  • Present analytical results as comprehensive test findings, providing actionable insights for stakeholders.


Basic Qualifications:



  • Experience engaging with operational users to assess their information needs to conceptualize the entities that interoperate with the operational process and determining how those various entities are related in order to develop relationship diagrams representing the connections among the entities.
  • Experience developing logical data models and validating the models to ensure they serve the needs of the stakeholders and transforming the logical representations into a physical representation and work with solution architects (e.g., application and database developers) to instantiate and manage the data.
  • Experience building a library for common terms and definitions in coordination with business analysts and software developers.
  • Knowledgeable in use of business intelligence and geospatial software for combining disparate data sources and building data visualizations in tabular and geospatial formats for data exploration and analysis.
  • Requires 4 to 10 years of experience in data architecture and data analysis.
  • Active Secret security clearance.


Desired Skills:



  • Previous experience with Joint Test & Evaluation or operational testing.
