About the Role
Redhorse Corporation is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Executive Assistant/Office Administrator to provide comprehensive support to the Advanced Materials and Manufacturing Technologies Office (AMMTO) within the Department of Energy's Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE). EERE's mission is to accelerate the development and deployment of energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies. This critical role directly contributes to EERE's success by ensuring smooth and efficient office operations and providing high-level administrative support to AMMTO leadership. You will play a key role in facilitating the progress of crucial energy initiatives that strengthen U.S. energy security, environmental quality, and economic vitality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple calendars and meeting rooms for AMMTO personnel.
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with the utmost discretion.
  • Perform a variety of administrative functions to support program office operations.
  • Perform specialized administrative support tasks of a non-routine and non-repetitive nature.
  • Monitor projects and/or finances for members of the assigned functional unit.
  • Ensure the correct application of knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to project activities to meet project requirements.
  • Manage multiple tasks and ensure all major priority items are accomplished on time and according to plan.
  • Perform professional-level tasks (both formal and informal) requiring independent judgment, initiative, and tact. Determine the method of collection and analysis for assigned projects; prepare complex briefings.
  • Obtain, verify, and evaluate general and quantitative information.
  • Prepare various reports and make recommendations for actions. Support project management and event planning. Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain all project plans, project-related calendars, project task plans, and project budgets. Coordinate all associated activities.
Required Experience/Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S. or B.A.) in a related discipline and 12 years of experience; OR
  • Master's degree and 10 years of experience; OR
  • High school diploma and 16 years of experience.
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work both as an individual contributor and as a member of a diverse team.
  • Ability to be proactive and create a positive experience for others.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and urgent requests.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Outlook and Teams.
Desired Experience
  • Experience obtaining, verifying, and evaluating general and quantitative information.
  • Expertise in report writing, making recommendations for actions, project management, and event planning.
  • Working knowledge of computer software utilized in data collection and analysis.
  • Working knowledge of principles, practices, and standards of public sector project/program management.
  • Familiarity with protocols and standard practices pertaining to assigned functional areas.
  • Understanding of research techniques and analytical techniques applied to project/program management.
Compensation range for this position is the following:
  • Starting $75,000.00/year to $83,000.00/year
