Senior Manager, Manufacturing Operations
Job Description: The Role: Our site in Decatur, TX is seeking a Senior Manager, Manufacturing Operations to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible and accountable for the overall machine shop operations of the facility, focusing on safety, quality, service, and efficiency through direction of 100+ exempt/non-exempt employees and process improvements. What You'll Do:
- Develop and lead strategic initiatives for team to improve key performance indicators on Safety, Quality, Customer service levels and profitability.
- Partner with other functions within organization such as Product Management, Planning, Materials, Finance, HR to align and drive operations team initiatives to meet business objectives.
- Lead cross functional team such as quality technicians, programmers, process technicians, tool makers, and machining supervisors.
- Contributes to the strategic direction of the business and participates in the execution.
- Operates plant in accordance with EH&S requirements.
- Ensures compliance with legal and environmental safety standards.
- Manages resources and capacity to achieve adequate production volumes.
- Maintains high standards of information accuracy and reporting.
- Holds self and team accountable to established processes and procedures.
- Manages costs to budget.
- Manages and develops high performing operations team.
- Sets development goals for employees and coaches for achievement.
- Conducts performance reviews and provides opportunities for training.
- Provides clear direction and rewards top performers.
- Establishes a continuous improvement environment as guiding operational culture.
- Coaches and mentors staff on Lean Sigma tools and Entegris standards.
- Implements the appropriate measures (KPI's) to drive continuous improvements at cell level operations.
What We Seek: Required:
- 6-10 Years of experience in a similar role in a Manufacturing environment, preferably in machine shop.
- Excellent communication, planning, organization and leadership skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to work environment, work force, and customers' needs.
- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs, Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting.
- Candidate must have the capacity to comply with the federally mandated requirements of U.S. export control laws.
Preferred:
- B.S. degree in Engineering or related field.
- Cost effectiveness and plant budgeting work experience.
- ERP experience, SAP experience would be a plus.
- Experience in working in an ISO 14001/45001 environment a plus.
Outstanding Candidates Will Have:
- "Safety First" attitude which is practiced with integrity and a high degree of accountability for results.
- 3+ years of leadership experience in an ISO 9001 certified machine shop; AS9100 experience would be a plus.
- Strong track record of accomplishments in leadership roles
- Team player with a growth mindset
- Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma theory and CI practices.
