Physician Advisor

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Physician Advisor to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi. Located in the Bronx, accommodates more than 325,000 outpatient visits, more than 100,000 emergency room visits and more than 20,000 inpatient admissions annually. The hospital is renowned for The Trauma Center, staffed to treat any traumatic injury or illness, the fully accredited Breast Health Center, and The Burn Center, with more than 40 years of work in burn care. The hospital also serves patients with many other needs. The hospital maintains an academic affiliation with Albert Einstein Medical College.

Opportunity Details:

• Utilization Management - evaluating trends, identify challenges to sustained performance improvement &develop plans to address challenges
• Leadership responsibilities - Utilization Management Committee and Patient Outlier Meetings
• Hybrid work schedule 2-3 days on-site - No call required

• Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Emergency Medicine
• At least 3 years of clinical experience in Internal Medicine or Emergency Medicine
• Utilization Management knowledge

Preferred Qualifications:

• Managed Care Medical Director experience
• Prior actual Physician Advisor experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Emergency Department Leadership experience
• Medical Director of an Observation Unit experience

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $279,500* based on 40-hour work week.

The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $307,450**, which includes the baseline salary, 401 (k) contribution, and other factors as set forth below:

• 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
  • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
