Please note: this position is part time, 40 hours biweekly. Shifts are varying; weekend and holiday work is required.
Primary Responsibilities Competently prepare select foods for patients, staff & visitors that are of the highest quality, pleasing to the eye as well as palate.
Essential Functions Assembles ingredients and prepares recipe; portion, label and date for storage or transport. Professionally braise, saute, broil, boil, stew, steam, bake and grill to proper cooking time and temperature; safely hold food at all times. Exercises knowledge and judgment with respect to cooking times and temperatures to insure the quality and safety of items produced. Operate appropriate cooking equipment. Regular, punctual attendance. Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the Hospital.

Job Description

High school diploma or equivalent required Successful completion of department test for second cook. ServSafe Certification preferred 2 to 3 years experience in institutional, hotel or restaurant cooking
