E2 is seeking a Licensed Civil or Structural Engineer with natural gas pipeline design, construction, and maintenance projects experience. This role involves coordinating all phases of the integrity evaluation process, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards, and maintaining communication with various stakeholders. Coordinates and directs small to large projects and tasks, including development of work scope, budget, and schedule. Coordinates input from, and participation with, various departments within the company as needed to meet project objectives.

Design, analyze, and oversee the construction and maintenance of natural gas pipelines and related infrastructure.
1. Gather data, perform calculations and prepare designs to develop technically sound findings, conclusions and recommendations. Follow up on implementation of recommendations and acceptance of conclusions to assess accuracy and completeness.
2. Prepare detailed engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates for pipeline projects.
3. Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to execute projects on time and within budget.
4. Conduct site inspections, provide technical solutions, and address construction-related challenges.
5. Prepare and review project documentation, including reports, permits, and regulatory filings.
6. Support the client's team with risk assessments, feasibility studies, and design modifications.
7. Interpret state and federal codes, industry standards and Gas Standards for clients.
8. Provide direction to contractors, consultants, technical specialists and the remainder of the project team.

Requirements

1. Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Civil or Structural Engineering in the State of California (required).
2. B.S. in Engineering required; Master's Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering desirable.
3. 3-5+ years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on natural gas pipeline design and construction projects.
4. Strong understanding of pipeline engineering standards (e.g., ASME B31.8, DOT Regulations CFR 49 Parts 191-192 and GO-112).
5. Proficiency in relevant software tools, such as AutoCAD, GIS, or pipeline modeling tools.
6. Knowledge of Finite Element Modeling of piping stress, such as Caesar II is highly desirable.
7. Requires knowledge of mechanical engineering practices and concepts, cost analysis, operating practices and policies, understanding of systematic/scientific approaches to problem solving, and the ability to apply them in daily operations.
8. Familiarity with utility permitting, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance processes.

Salary range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000. The starting salary will be commensurate with skill, education, experience, and working environment.
