POSITION SUMMARYSupports the testing and repairs circuit boards, provided day-to-day guidance via work priority supporting the Board Repair Team, System Refurbishment Team and Computers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESTesting, diagnosing and the repairing of circuit boardsSoldering of components circuit boardsWorking with all types of electronic diagnostic equipment, DMMs, Oscilloscopes, logic analyzers etcInstalling components and products to be tested into equipmentWorking with blueprints, wiring diagrams, and procedures.Working with all types of Windows and DOS based software products.Being able to adapt to different software such as Unix, VxWorks, etcMeet corporate QA standards.Maintaining all assigned assets per company Policies and Procedures.Improving personal productivity by enhancing product knowledge through formal and on the job training.The above list reflects the general details necessary to describe the principle and essential functions of the position and shall not be construed as the only duties that may be assigned for the position.
Requirements
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (one or more of the following):High School diploma or GEDMinimum one year of work experience in the electronics field industry or equivalent field.PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEElectronics Certificate or electronics engineering technology or similar degree program or its equivalent in demonstrated experience.Minimum one year of work experience in the electronics field industry or equivalent field.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIESSoldering skills.Proven electronic troubleshooting skillsThe ability to use various types of manual and power tools.The ability to operate a computer and navigate both Windows and DOS based programsAbility to read and understand all types of schematicsThe ability to organize and prioritize tasks as well as the ability to be a self-starter with an attention to detail and accuracy.Proven ability to work well with others and alone.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY NoneWORK ENVIRONMENTWorking environment is subject to occasional exposure to disagreeable elements such as noise, heat, cold, or dust.
