JOB SUMMARY The Visitor Experience Coordinator shares Louisville Water's story with visitors to Louisville Water Tower Park and WaterWorks Museum. The coordinator is responsible for assisting in the daily operations at Louisville Water Tower Park and WaterWorks Museum and serves as the onsite point of contact with visitors for private, public, and educational events / tours. This position provides a welcoming, hospitable environment and learning experience for all guests. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Assist in the execution of private, public, and educational events at Louisville Water Tower Park, WaterWorks Museum and Louisville Water facilities. Represent Louisville Water to clients & vendors during events Assist in business operations, including but not limited to, entering data, drafting correspondence, managing rental applications, overseeing collateral documents, facilitating cash and credit card transactions, and opening and closing the venue. Conduct walking tours of Louisville Water Tower Park and other Louisville Water facilities Assist with education programming for children and adults Answer general inquiries about Louisville Water and Louisville Water Tower Park Facilitate rental site visits, answer rental inquiries, and provide event support Setting up and tearing down the event space Function as a marketing ambassador for Louisville Water Tower Park; this may be on or off site Assist in other events executed by Louisville Water's Strategic Communications department; this may be on or off site. Conduct safety rules, operating and maintenance procedures Complete daily and routine cleaning of the facility Other duties as assigned WORKING CONDITIONS Works no more than 20 hours per week. Work hours and schedule will fluctuate based upon event season with most of the hours on nights and weekends. Must be able to work weekdays, evenings and weekends with some evening shifts extended past midnight Workplace setting is at a historic site with events occurring indoors and outdoors. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time, which includes steps, uneven pavement, inclines, both grass and paved surfaces, in indoor and outdoor environments for most of the routine workday. Must be able to lift, carry and/or move the maximum equivalent of 20 lbs. Physical flexibility and range of motion to complete a deep-kneed bend, full-waist bend, and over-head reach. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSHigh School Diploma or equivalent; and Three (3) years of customer service or a combination of the following: collaborating with school groups and/or education outreach organizations, general clerical, sales, cultural attractions, event planning, hospitality; and Valid driver's License EEO/AA Statement
