Mechanical Senior Drafter

As the Mechanical Senior Designer working for Hepburn and Sons LLC, you will be responsible for the creation and management of detailed mechanical designs and the bills of materials for new products. . You will be expected to utilize Autocad for creation of mechanical drawings and provide recommendations for how to improve drawing and bill of material management.

Lead the detailed design process for packaging of electronics for Naval applications
• Maintain change control for the design, drawings, and bill of materials
• Work with third party manufacturing vendors to ensure the manufacturability of the designs
• Provide feedback for continuous improvement for new tools and processes to improve efficiency and performance
• Work with R&D engineers to develop concept designs into ready to manufacture designs

• 10 years experience in electronics packaging and manufacturing
• Associate's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
• Knowledge and experience of design standards for electrical and naval applications
• Skilled in use of 2-D and 3-D drawing and design techniques and tools
• DoD Secret clearance
• Up to 20% travel
