Maine state licensure to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required

Are you ready for a change? Consider the role as an integrated behavioral health clinician working within a multidisciplinary team. This is a year-round, full time, 32-hour position, within the school-based health center which offers care to the students at Medomak Valley High School and Middle School located at 320 Manktown Rd in Waldoboro, Maine. The behavioral health clinician would work closely with the medical provider and school personnel to best support students. This is a great opportunity to provide easy access for students in the environment where they spend most of their day. And integrated care reduces stigma and increases the student's willingness to participate in care.The clinician's role includes providing screening, assessments, and focused brief treatment to students who use the health center. Treatment structure includes individual, family, and group work. Additional functions of the role include providing curbside consultation to providers, linking patients to additional services and supports, and participating in population health activities that targets the health and wellbeing of specific groups of people. Persons interested in this position must be comfortable working with adolescents and their families. Knowledge of and interest in treating substance use disorders is preferred.Your work is enhanced by being part of a larger team with solid experience in integrated work. Collaborative work with psychiatrists and other integrated clinicians in the MaineHealth system adds to the experience. Individual supervision, group supervision, psychiatry consultation, and quarterly training are benefits of this position.SummaryThe role of Behavioral Health Clinician II, working under an independent license, involves providing comprehensive care and support to clients with behavioral health needs. The key responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing direct care through individual, group, and family therapy sessions.Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)Education: Master's Degree in Social Work, Clinical Counseling, Addiction Treatment, or related fieldLicense/Certifications: Licensed LCPC, LCSW, or LMFT from the respective licensing board of the State of Maine Office of Professional and Occupational Regulation (OPOR)Experience: At least two years of behavioral health experience including employment as a conditionally licensed clinician.Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/AAdditional Skills/Requirements Preferred: N/A
