***This position is contingent upon contract award and will be located onsite in either the southeast, southwest, or central United States. Travel will likely be required.***

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse facility
  • Generates work assignments, manages schedules, sets priorities, assigns daily tasks, and reviews employee performance.
  • Coordinates and prioritizes activities of warehouse employees engaged in receiving, cataloging, tagging, maintaining, storing, packing, and shipping inventory
  • Assigns appropriate resources, determines objectives and procedures, and monitors results to ensure inventory is accurate.
  • Ensures materials are received, stored, shipped, and reported in accordance with established procedures and government guidelines/regulations and meet contract requirements
  • Manages procedures and controls for hazardous material shipments
  • Ensure safety of workforce by educating employees on proper procedures and safety guidelines, striving to achieve an accident-free workplace. Attends and participates in a variety of meetings and task force groups to improve quality and outcomes, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specific level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, new task efforts, and new policy requirements.
  • Assists with the managing of day-to-day activities and prioritizing tasks.
  • Complies with all applicable Acuity standards and guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient with computer software programs including Microsoft Office
  • Four or more years of progressively responsible experience in a logistical/warehouse environment desired with recent experience within the past year preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Shall be proficient in the ability to speak, write and communicate in English.
  • Knowledge or experience in the handling and management of government property strongly desired.
  • Hazardous materials certification preferred.
  • Participate in training, (including HIPAA training)
  • Have and maintain current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).

Physical Requirements and Work Conditions:

  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
  • Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
