The Role: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Day Porter to maintain the cleanliness and functionality of both office and production spaces at our Ogden facility. The ideal candidate will perform daily cleaning tasks, ensure supplies are stocked, and maintain a professional, courteous demeanor while interacting with employees. Your Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cleaning tasks for office, production, and common spaces.
- Respond to immediate cleaning needs or spills, ensuring safety and cleanliness.
- Maintain restrooms,
breakrooms, and high-traffic areas, ensuring cleanliness and supply replenishment. - Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, including floor
scrubbers. - Setting up and tearing down of corporate events.
- Communicate with the Facilities Manager about supplies, equipment
needs, and feedback. - Report any major maintenance issues or safety hazards to the
facility manager. - Ensure compliance with
safety and sanitation policies. - Perform other duties as
assigned by management. - Empty trash and recycling
bins; transport to appropriate disposal sites. - Dust, vacuum, and mop
surfaces, including desks, carpets, and tile floors. - Clean and sanitize
high-touch areas like light switches, door handles, and drinking fountains. - Empty trash and restock
supplies as needed. - Clean and sanitize sinks,
counters, stalls, and fixtures. - Perform deep cleaning and
drain maintenance on a scheduled basis. - Scrub floors using robotic
and manual floor scrubbers. - Empty trash and recycling
bins; transport contents appropriately. - Disinfect high-touch points
and maintain cleanliness of entryways and doors. - Clean and sanitize sinks,
counters, microwaves, tables, and chairs. - Maintain refrigerators and
lunchbox cubicles on a regular basis. - Clean stairwells,
handrails, walkways, locker areas, and changing rooms. - Wipe down glass surfaces,
including doors and turnstiles.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training.
- Experience in facility cleaning; manufacturing setting experience preferred.
- Ability to work well under minimal supervision.
- Work requires continual attention to detail in follow through, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, to accurately measure cleaning supplies and maintain inventory. Familiarity with using basic measuring devices to ensure cleaning tasks meet facility standards.
- Ability to read and follow instructions such as cleaning schedules, safety guidelines, equipment manuals, and procedure documents. Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
- Familiarity with cleaning procedures and products.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
- Bilingual proficiency and English literacy preferred.
- Physical stamina and mobility, including ability to reach, kneel, and bend.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull required load (up to 33lbs).
