ARES is seeking an experienced IT Project Coordinator to support the NASA Office of Chief Information Officer (OCIO) to provide support to the IT Portfolio Management (ITPfM) and Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC) processes in support of the NASA Enterprise Multimedia and Integrated Technical Services (eMITS) contract. eMITS is the Agency's enterprise-level contract creating and delivering multimedia and technical communications for NASA's OCIO and Office of Communications (OCOMM). From photographing rocket launches and recoveries, to producing NASA TV segments, to information technology management, to using social media to share NASA's message, eMITS integrates services for NASA IT and provides NASA's communication to the outside world. Remote, hybrid, and onsite positions the employee bears travel costs to nearest NASA Center for badging and issue of NASA IT equipment.


JOB DESCRIPTION / FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This position will include but not be limited to the following activities:
  • Assists in agency IT Portfolio-related submissions to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) in support of the Planning, Programming, and Budget Execution (PPBE) process
  • Tracks IT Portfolio-related data requests from NASA leadership, OMB, and Congress
  • Supports a team of business analysts in coordinating and planning all work package deliverables
  • Communicates and engages with NASA Investment Owners and Center Investment Managers (CIM) Community
  • Assists in the collection of large amounts of data and works with team to produce meaningful analysis of data collected for agency leaders
  • Evaluates processes for improvement and conducts root cause analysis
  • Supports team with data input and export via web-based applications

EDUCATION AND PREVIOUS WORK REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum Education BA/BS
  • Minimum Experience -3- 5 years of experience

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have experience coordinating complex projects/programs (preferably in an IT related field), ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of audiences (user community to executive level), be willing and able to perform data input and export in web-based applications, proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneNote, One Drive), and SharePoint, willing and able to learn governmental budget process along with Technology Business Management (TBM) Framework, Self-starter with ability to learn new things.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneNote, One Drive), SharePoint, and Box.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with TBM and Budget Data Requests, experience analyzing and interpreting data to create actionable insights, previous Project Coordinator/Project Manager/Business Analyst.
