"Sunshine Avionics - Forward Thinking Engineered Solutions" The role of the Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for processing all invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient and timely manner. GENERAL DUTIES:
- Process outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data
- Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.
- Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements
- Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients
- Generate reports detailing accounts payables status
- Understand expense accounts and cost centers
- Understands compliance issues around accounts payable processes (W-9, sales tax, etc.)
- And other duties as assigned
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or an Accounting Certification from a recognized professional organization; previous accounting or similar experience may be substituted.
- A broad understanding of accounting processes with 3-5 years of experience in a financial role.
- Prior experience with an aerospace/aviation or manufacturing company.
- Prior experience with ERP/MRP systems.
- Proficient in MSOffice software suite, with emphasis on spreadsheet analysis.
- Sustained dependable attendance.
- Cooperation with others in team environment for cross training and conference on operational issues.
- Initiative in learning and changing work methods to accomplish assigned tasks on a timely basis.
