Basic Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's or Technology degree in Engineering or a related specialized area/field, or equivalent (4 years job-related experience). Requires an additional 2+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.


Responsibilities for this Position

You will:

  • Engage with unique skill sets supporting a oneofakind facility at Cape Canaveral Space Station, Florida
  • Collaborate with a team that builds on each other's skills to deliver products supporting national security
  • Opportunities to gain new knowledge as it's discovered.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Experience with Linux (RedHat or CENTOS).
  • Ability to provide onsite technical solutions.
  • Strong understanding of serverbased operating systems.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting skills within server OS, networking, and storage technologies.
  • Execute security scanning and support secure maintenance.
  • Contribute to system security design efforts, security requirements analysis, and requirements flow down as part of the cybersecurity team.
  • Selfstarter with minimal supervision required.
  • Effective interaction with customers.
  • Experience in creating, modifying, and removing user accounts.

What Sets You Apart:

  • Experience in RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) & Windows Administration.
  • Proficient in performing Linux audit and reporting tasks.
  • Working knowledge of Linux Administration.
  • Expertise in Red Hat LINUX, UNIX, or Windows OS command line administration.
  • Familiarity with system security assessment/hardening tools such as SCAP Compliance Checker, STIG Viewer, ACAS/Nessus.
  • Understanding of STGs & vulnerability resolution.
  • Team player thriving in collaborative environments.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Experience with compliance controls: STIGs, RMF, DFARS, NIST SP 800171, NIST SP 80053.
  • Support development of security documentation, including security plans, contingency plans, and security tests plans and procedures.
  • Assist in generating Assessment and Authorization (A&A) documentation.
  • Creative thinking and problemsolving skills.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Security + or equivalent certification.
  • Linux+ certification.
  • Proficient in configuring and maintaining realtime operating systems.
  • Knowledge of access, permissions, and security to ensure clients have the necessary data access.
  • Serve as a frontline interface for users with technical issues.
  • Duties may include installing new software, troubleshooting, granting permissions, and training users.
  • Perform server administration for server operating systems.
  • Create scripts to automate repetitive processes.

Workplace Options:

  • This position is fully onsite.
  • While onsite, you will be part of the NOTU Facility at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.


Target salary range: USD $80,024.00/Yr. - USD $86,589.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
