Design Enablement Intern

DE INTERN JOB SUMMARY:

The Design Enablement Intern will report to a Lead Engineer in the Technology Development and Transfer group to support new development efforts.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Intern candidate will be trained in PDK related activities

* EDA/CAD environment scripting/automation

* Create automation/scripting documents

* Support company initiatives, such as; quality, safety and environmental management, CQI, 5S, yield management, cost containment and perform other duties as assigned.

* Other duties, as assigned

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

* Students working toward a Bachelor or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics

* Students in their Junior year or higher

* Coursework should include: Intro to Computer engineering/science course preferred, but not required

* Fluency in scripting languages such as Python, Tcl, C-shell, Perl, etc.

* Strong verbal and written communication skills

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS: (only applicable to Fab-involved roles, example)

* Requires walking and standing in an office setting.

* Occasional work in a cleanroom environment and wearing clean room attire (bunny suit, mask, gloves, protective eye wear and booties).

* Lift/carry 10 pounds at a time

* Must be able to read small print, with or without visual corrective lenses.

* Many wafer handling functions performed manually (i.e.: load, unload, transfer, transport, etc.) including operating hand-held devices such as keyboard, keypad, mouse/trackball, scanner and wand.

* Many tasks require two-handed grip/grasp on a frequent, to continuous, and daily basis.
