Apply Now and Join Us in Shaping the Future of Orthopedic Care! Novice level/novice performs and facilitate the set up and break down of OR surgical rooms. The SST I will: *Sort and dispose contaminated materials per hospital guidelines. *Patient transport to and from Surgery, providing comfort and report concerns as needed (Main O.R. Only). *Demonstrate of infection control principles and aseptic techniques *Demonstrates an understanding of the normal growth and development of the pediatric, adolescent, adult populations and normal aging process of the elderly. *Work cooperatively with the surgical team. *Competency in the practice of advanced level case assignment and advanced level equipment. *Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology. *Demonstrated knowledge of the use of equipment, instruments and supplies. *Demonstrates knowledge of surgical procedures and terminology. *Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; work independently with minimal supervision; perform basic math functions; manage multiple assignments effectively; work well under pressure; problem solve; organize and prioritize workload; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail.
